By default, Meet Entries will read the long and short course qualifying times from the meet events file that you upload.
If you upload a meet file and allow the system to process entries, those entries inside the qualifying times will be accepted, and those outside the qualifying times will be rejected.
When processing the seeding for a meet, you can specify how many entries per event you wish to accept. In this case, the system will not automatically accept all swimmers inside the qualifying time, it will accept the number that you specify of all swimmers inside the qualifying time.
Custom Qualifying Times
Meet Entries can also support custom qualifying and consideration times, for situations where both are required.
In this scenario, the system will process entries as follows.
If an event has a custom qualifying time, that time will be used to determine qualifying.
If an event does not have a custom qualifying time, then the time from the meet file will be used to determine qualifying
If an event has a custom consideration time, this is used to determine if the swimmer is in consideration if the swimmer does not meet the qualifying time but does meet the consideration time.
If the event has no custom consideration time then the system will mark the entry as not being in consideration.
