We have improved the Individual Entry form to automate entry times for swimmers.
When a user enters a meet, we will automatically load the entry times from British Swimming Rankings. The system will use swim times and conversions to establish the best entry time based on the pool length for the meet. It will automatically select the entry time course and enter the appropriate time in order to achieve the best seeding for the swimmer.
The user is now not able to enter their own times on this form unless the link with rankings fails.
If the integration with rankings fails, and the entry form is unable to retrieve entry times, then the form will continue to allow users to edit their times as normal.
This should minimise any validation failures, and also minimise any refunds which would previously have been due as a result of a swimmer entering with a time that was not valid and was therefore rejected - essentially the validation is now done before payment.
